Materia Fossile Collection
Materia Fossile Collection is a selection of millenary marsh wood (oak, elm, ash), dating back from 1,500to 8,200 years ago, and recovered from peat bogs, swamps and riverbeds in Eastern Europe. The process that takes place in the subsoil gives the wood unique and unrepeatable natural colours, with shades ranging from brown-gold to deep black, resulting from the interaction of wood tannins dissolved in acid water with the minerals present in the soil.
